My thanks to Sam Mirlesse (www.sabinemirlesse.com), Aaron Grenia of Prive Salon (www.privesalon.com), and models Rynn (www.rednyc.com) and Alex (www.empiremodel.com) for their time and dedication to last night's photoshoot for Collar, Stand + Tie's newest deconstruction project - the hoodie scarf. Special thanks to Matt and Melissa for your constant support! I feel so fortunate to have such a creative and talented circle of friends and artists who make Collar, Stand + Tie look so damn good. Cannot wait to see the results and to properly introduce the hoodie scarf to you. Just in time for the fall/winter/holiday season...
Collar, Stand + Tie featured in Time Out New York's fall fashion issue! http://newyork.timeout.com/articles/shopping/88724/fall-fashion Check out this interview with Khanh Tran of Runway Passport to hear how Collar, Stand + Tie landed in NYC: http://www.runwaypassport.com/blog/meet-designer-kara-laricks-we-people Thank you for the kind write-up, Khanh! Take a look at this photo from last night's grand opening of We The People NYC. This captures the incredible response to my ties in a single shot (thanks, M). I watched as this stylie party-goer checked out the fabric, stitching and design, then held my breath awaiting his response. He turned to me and said, "I want to wear one of these with a simple t-shirt!" I let out a huge sigh of relief, explained I was the designer and the conversation went from there... I must say that one of my ties would look stunning with exacty what he had on - skinny striped navy sweater and those fantastic specs. A few more pics... I look forward to seeing you all when WTP opens this Saturday. Thank you to all who attended and made this such a successful night! Meet Vera, owner of We The People, on Afingo.com!
